Electrotherapy

Covered by state insurance

Electrotherapy uses medical electrical impulses to stimulate muscle groups or relieve pain.

Galvanisation

Galvanisation is the application of direct current to relieve pain and, if necessary, stimulate blood circulation and vegetative reorganisation.

Iontophoresis

Galvanisation is the application of direct current. Iontophoresis is the introduction of medication to relieve pain and possibly inhibit inflammation in the body using direct current through the skin without piercing it.

Cell bath

This is a different form of coupling for galvanisation or pulse galvanisation - instead of textile electrode pads, the feet and/or hands are immersed in a tub filled with water.

Pulse galvanisation

These are pulsed forms of current for pain reduction, muscle relaxation and, if necessary, vegetative regulation

Frequency modulation

These are pulse-shaped current forms for pain reduction, muscle relaxation and, if necessary, vegetative regulation

Threshold current

This refers to a rhythmic increase and decrease of impulses for muscle stimulation

Exponential current

This refers to a rhythmic increase and decrease of impulses for muscle stimulation

Interference

By superimposing medium frequency currents, low frequency locally alternating maxima/minima are created in the tissue. The application is carried out using flat electrodes.

Stereodynator

By superimposing currents of medium frequencies, low-frequency, locally alternating maxima/minima are generated in the tissue. The application is carried out using suction electrodes.
